曾我蕭白をはじめとする三重県ゆかりの作家の作品や、スペイン美術を中心とする西洋美術など6,000点以上の豊富なコレクションを誇ります。特に明治期から現代に至る日本の近代洋画（ヨウガ）のコレクションが充実しており、具象彫刻家・柳原義達の記念館も併設されています。
