Philippe Djian propose un voyage onirique dans les arts et la littérature. Si le goût pour l’« ailleurs », le désir de passer au-delà des frontières, a marqué la civilisation occidentale, dont l’un des premiers grands textes littéraires – l’ Odyssée – est illustré par des antiques grecs choisis dans les collections du musée, des textes plus anciens illustrent un désir universel de découvrir de nouvelles terres.
