小海町高原美術館では、小海町制施行70周年を記念し、デザイナー宮城壮太郎の生誕75年、没後15年の展覧会を開催します。宮城壮太郎は、地域計画からプロダクトデザインまで幅広く携わったデザイナーで、企業のデザイン顧問やディレクターとしても活躍。本展では、長野県との関りやパーソナルな部分にもスポットをあて、宮城壮太郎の幅広い仕事と思考を紹介します。
