福岡県美術展覧会「県展」は、県民から広く作品を公募し、県民の美術活動の育成振興を図るとともに、その優れた成果を展示することで創作意欲を高め、美術を通した豊かな生き方の支援を目的としています。あわせて、福岡県美術協会会員の作品を展示し、福岡県における美術活動のより一層の充実を目指そうとする展覧会です。今年度、北九州展では、福岡県美術協会会員の作品をはじめ、各部門の入賞作品並びに北九州地区から出品された入選作品あわせて約580点を一挙に展示します。
