Spinello Aretino's family was involved in the goldsmith trade and had taken refuge in Arezzo in 1310 when the Ghibelline party was exiled from Florence.1

After the sack of Arezzo in 1384, Spinello Aretino returned to Florence.1

In 1391, Spinello Aretino painted a triptych for Sant' Andrea at Lucca.2

1410

MarSpinello Aretino is recorded to have died in Arezzo on March 14, 1410.2
