Jasper Francis Cropsey (American, 1823–1900)

FebJasper Francis Cropsey was born on February 18, 1823, in Staten Island, New York.¹

He set up his own architecture office in 1843.¹

MayCropsey married Maria Cooley in May 1847. He and Maria had two children.¹

Cropsey co-founded, with ten fellow artists, the American Society of Painters in Water Colors in 1866.¹

JunJasper Francis Cropsey died on June 22, 1900, at the age of 77.¹
